Control unit

The headset is connected to the control unit. The control unit holds the major electronic components with user interface and battery compartment. The control unit interface includes a volume control, PTT (push to talk button) and a switch button for selecting between PTT, Voice operated transmit (VOX) or open microphone (OM) for outgoing communication.

The unit is operated on two battery types, either two disposable Lithium cells (123 A) or one re-chargeable Li-Ion cell. It is available for single or dual radio connection, and is compatible with a variety of radio or intercom communication system. The dual version can be connected to two radios, or to one radio and an intercom system.
